Father's Day Gift Basket... with free printable tags

Rather than giving my husband breakfast in bed, my boys and I like to plan a Father's Day BBQ. My husband loves to grill, and it is something we can all enjoy together. So, a "BBQ gift basket" is the perfect gift for him. Today, I am sharing the details of the grill basket that we put together and the FREE printable gift tag that I designed.

We filled the basket with his favourite sauces, spices, and BBQ accessories. Then we wrapped it all up in cellophane and attached a fun custom tag.

To download the tag I designed: click on the photo below, right-click, save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 4X6 photo.

Isn't this a great idea? Stock the fridge with meat and veggies, add this, and you have the perfect gift!

Does the special Dad in your life love to BBQ? If he does, this Father's Day gift basket the perfect gift for you to give him this year. You can download the tags for free and customize the content of the basket. Pretty great, right?

My Favourite DIY Father's Day Gift of ALL TIME

When it comes to Father's Day, heartfelt and handmade gifts are the best. I've always encouraged my boys to make something special for my husband on his special day. They've made a lot of cute cards and gifts, but my all time favourite is the Father's Day photos they make for him annually. Today, I am sharing all the details of this special gift.

Way back in 2012, I took some cute photos of my boys, I had them answer questions about their dad, and I photoshopped their answers onto the pictures. Since then, we have been giving my husband the same gift every year.

You can use any pictures, but I love the idea of having the boys hold an empty chalkboard, and photoshopping the answers onto the board. It really makes the answers "pop"!

I used Picmonkey.com to add the words to these pictures. Look how cute they turned out!

This DIY Father's Day gift really is special, and creating it is a wonderful family tradition. It is pretty special to see how my boys answer the questions each year.

How cute is this little "Thanks for putting up with my CRAP!" card packaged with a roll of toilet paper? I placed the toilet paper in a clear cellophane bag, popped in the card, and tied it with a piece of curling ribbon. Easy peasy!

Father's Day DIY Donut Bouquet

On Mother's Day, many special ladies get lovely bouquets of flowers, but I don't think my husband would be impressed with a vase full of blooms. In the past, I have made candy bouquets, but this time, I thought I would try something different. Instead of a flower or candy bouquet, I thought it would be fun for my boys to make a donut bouquet for Father's Day. I saw a version of this idea online, and I thought it looked super simple and really inexpensive to make. Keep reading for a step-by-step tutorial and easy-to-follow video.

To make a DIY Donut Bouquet, you'll need: donut holes, skewers, tissue paper, and ribbon. I got more supplies than I needed for about $8.

Then:

1) Insert skewers into the donut holes. (You can use mini donuts too.)
2) Arrange the donuts into a bouquet, and secure in place with an elastic.
3) Wrap the bouquet in tissue paper.

4) Tie a ribbon around the base of the flowers. (You can also add a layer of cellophane if you are transporting your bouquet and you want to protect the donuts.)

That's it! What child wouldn't be thrilled to gift this donut bouquet to their Dad? Add a homemade card, and you are good to go!

Check out this easy-to-follow video.

Isn't this a fantastic homemade Father's Day gift? Do you have a special man in your life that would enjoy this DIY donut bouquet? I think this is an absolutely adorable treat!
