Last Day of School Teacher Gift... with clever printable gift tags

I know that teachers have enough mugs and candles, so I love giving gift cards. I enjoy knowing that my gift will be used, but gift cards can be boring, and not very fun for kids to give. But don't fret, I have a solution! This little treat and clever tag provide the perfect packaging for gift cards on the last day of school.

The key to the cuteness is this clever "Enjoy your summer BREAK!" tag. To download the tag: right-click on the picture below, save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 4X6 photo.

Then, just use a little bit of ribbon to add the tag to a bag containing a KitKat bar and a gift card.

You can also use a cute container, and attach the tag to a lovely gift basket.

I love think this is a wonderful way to transform a gift card into a gift, don't you? My boys will be proud to give these packages to their teacher on the last day of school.

Simple LAST DAY OF SCHOOL Teacher Gift... with free printable tags

A teacher is a special part of every child's life, and on the last day of school, I always want to give tokens of gratitude to my boys' lovely educators. I like to purchase something simple and useful, and add a bit of fun by attaching cute tag. Today, I am sharing a simple teacher gift... and a free printable tag that you can download.

I purchased some adorable and inexpensive tote bags, and I added a "Thanks for being a TOTEally awesome teacher" tag. Cute, right?

This is a really inexpensive and thoughtful gift that is guaranteed to get a lot of use. It's perfect for carrying papers, and it works for trips to the beach too! You could also stick a gift card or handwritten note inside the bag for an extra special surprise. Thoughtful notes and cards are always winners!

Simple Custom Coffee Mug

I love the idea of creating customized coffee mugs because they make a useful, clever, and personalized gift. They would be perfect for friends, teachers, moms, and dads... especially with a coffee gift card tucked inside. Today, I am letting you know how easy it is to create your own simple, custom coffee mug.

To make a simple custom mug like mine, you can use Picmonkey.com to add a custom message. I selected: "Design" and "Square", and then I added text. I saved the image to my computer, and then I created a custom photo mug at an online store. There are many online stores that sell photo gifts, but I created this one at VistaPrint.ca.

Teacher Totes and Tags

I adore teachers, and I love giving them gifts they can actually use. This year, I purchased some adorable tote bags for some of my boys teachers, and today I am sharing the sweet gift tags I designed to go with them.

I made a few versions of the tags, so they work for all types of teachers. This is a great gift for the last day of school, Christmas, or teacher appreciation.

DIY Teacher Gifts (he or she will love!)

The end of the school year is just around the corner, so now is the time to start planning a special "end of year" teacher gift for the special educator in your life.  Homemade cards, heartfelt notes, and gift cards are always excellent choices, but if your little one wants to see their teacher unwrap something (as my boys do), these options are pretty fun!

With a little help, kids can make a pencil holder for their teachers that is sure to brighten their day.  You can find the tutorial for this inexpensive gift here.

A tote bag is a pretty and practical gift... and extra fun if you add a "Have a 'tote'ally awesome summer!" gift tag.  You can download the tag for free here. 

Every teacher uses pens, and these DIY flower pens are sure to brighten his/her day.  You can find the step-by-step tutorial for making them here.

A child's drawing is always a special gift.  My son used a sharpie to draw a picture of him and his teacher onto a canvas bag.  I then stitched over the design to make it permanent.  Using fabric markers instead of the sharpie and stitching would be a fantastic (and easier) alternative.

My 4 year old has spent the last year with two fantastic preschool teachers, so on his last day (Thursday), he is bringing them each a special gift.  Each of his teachers will receive a pretty summer tote bag with a tag that says, "Have a 'Tote'ally Awesome Summer!"

Cute, right?  I think it is the perfect bag for trips to the park or beach this summer.

Easy Teacher Appreciation Gift {free printable}

I love teachers, and I think it is really important for my boys to let their teachers know they are appreciated.  So... today I am sharing a simple teacher appreciation gift that all teachers will love.

Simple Teacher Valentine... with free printable tag

It's the time of year when my boys head off to school with special Valentines for all of their classmates, and of course, they want special Valentines for their teachers too.  So, this year I designed a little tag that they can attach to a box of chocolates or some homemade cookies.

DIY Teacher Gift {Flower Pens}

This is my favorite kind of project..... an easy and inexpensive DIY gift!  My boys wanted to take something to their teachers on the first day of school, so I decided to make some pretty "flower pens".

All you need are some fake flowers, pens, and floral tape.

Step 1:  Cut the flower so that it is slightly shorter than the pen.

Step 2:  Wrap the tape around the pen and flower.  {I started in the middle, wrapped to the bottom, and then wrapped to the top.}

Step 3:  Pinch the end to seal.

That's it!  Easy, cute and practical.  What teacher wouldn't love a bouquet of these pens on the first day of school?
