Last Day of School STARBURST treats... with free printable tags

The last day of school is a big deal, and it's fun to celebrate the start of summer with a little treat. My boys love Starburst candies, so I thought it would be fun to do Starburst-themed end of school year treats for them. Check out the ways to give these treats, and download free printable tags below.

All you need to do is add a "I hope your summer is BURSTing with fun!" tag to a bag of Starburst candies.

And if you want to reduce the sugar content, just pop a few candies in a little bag and attach the tag with curling ribbon.

To download the tag I designed: click on the picture below, right-click, save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 4x6 photo.

Isn't this an adorable treat? And it works on so many levels.

  • Give to a sugar-loving teacher with a gift card.
  • Stick it in a child's lunchbox.
  • Share individual treat bags with classmates.

These bright coloured Starburst candies scream "summer", so they are perfect to share this time of year. How do you celebrate the last day of school? I think this is a "sweet" idea for the last day of school, don't you?

Punny End of Year Teacher Gift Ideas... with free printable tags

Special teachers deserve a thoughtful year end gift, and skincare products are a great choice. They are useful and extra fun when they are packaged with the tags I designed.

I love the idea of gifting all natural bath bombs or lip balms.

To download the tags, I designed: click on the picture below, right-click, save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 4x6 photo.

How cute is this little package of lip balm with the "You are the balm!" tags?

And what could be cuter than this package of bath bombs with the "You are the bomb!" tags?

To make your favourite teacher feel extra pampered, you could also include a gift card for a bottle of wine, a spa, or a restaurant. What would you add to make this gift special?

Simple End of Year Teacher Gifts

Have you ever needed a quick, easy, and inexpensive gift for a teacher? Sometimes, kids have several teachers, so buying expensive gifts can really add up. Today, I am sharing a simple end-of-year teacher gift that won't break the bank... and I am including free printable gift tags.

I found these fantastic reusable summer party cups at Walmart for $1.50, and I filled them with KitKat bars that say, "have a BREAK" on the sides. I also added some packets of lemonade mix. Then, I wraped the cups in cellophane bags and added a tag that says, "Enjoy your summer BREAK!" Did you catch the play on words?

To download the tags I designed (for free): right-click on the picture below, save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 8X10 photo. I sent my tags to the local copy store for printing where I printed the sheet on cardstock for less than fifty cents.

These little gifts are perfect for music teachers, gym teachers, bus drivers, librarians, and special classroom helpers. You could even add a gift certificate for a more extravagant gift. Have you started to think about end of year teacher gifts yet? The last day of school will be here before you know it!

Have a Sweet Summer (end of year treats and tags)

My boys love sharing treats with their friends on the last day of school, and today I am sharing three "sweet" class treat options with FREE printable tags. All three options are adorable, but you may want to base your choice on how much sugar you want to share.

The first treat may be a little too "sugary" for your taste, but does it really hurt to celebrate the end of the school with an extra special treat? I took an ice cream cone, topped it with a few small "scoops" of cotton candy, wrapped it in cellophane, and added an adorable little tag that I designed. Cute, right?

A less sugary option is to use a cone (like above), but instead of cotton candy, you can add a little sponge ball. My boys love this idea!

Or, if you just want to keep things simple, stick a few treats in a bag, tie it with a ribbon, and add the cute tag. Easy, peasy!

To download the tags I designed: right-click on the picture (below), save it to your computer, and print it like a regular 8X10 photo. I sent mine to my local copy store and had it printed on card stock for $.39 a sheet.

I can't believe the last day of school is just around the corner. It is always bitter sweet for my boys because they look forward to their summer break, but they miss seeing their friends every day. I think sharing a gift with their classmates on the last day of school makes the transition to summer a little nicer, don't you?

Preschool Graduation Treat...with free printable

Did I mention that my youngest boy is heading off to "big" school in September?  I can hardly believe it!  It is a huge milestone, and to mark the occasion, I came up with this simple Preschool Graduation Treat.

Isn't it cute?  I put this cupcake in a plastic drinking glass, popped it into a clear loot bag, added a cute tag, and tied it with twine.

You can download your own copy of the tag I designed by right clicking on the 4X6 picture below.  Save it to your computer, and print it like a regular photo.  (There are two tags per print.)  With one hour photo processing, you can quickly put together enough treats for an entire graduation class of pint-size cutie pies!

I just love an easy and inexpensive treat idea, don't you?  These Preschool Graduation Treats are sure to be a hit on your little graduate's special day.

Easy and Inexpensive Class Treats

The end of a school year is a big milestone for little ones, and I like to mark the occasion by letting my boys take "end of year" class treats to their friends.  This year, I came up with 4 different options for them to choose from:

Aren't they cute?  I made tags for each "treat" using the "collage" function in Picmonkey, and I had the photos printed as wallet size.  I think using a picture adds a nice, personal touch.

Here is a closer look:

Option 1:  Have a "BALL" this summer!

Just fill a little bag with some inexpensive balls from the dollar store, and your little one's classmates will be "bouncing" with happiness.  ;-)

Option 2:  "STAY COOL" & have a great summer!

Just tie a tag around a freezie.  When your little one's classmates get home, they can pop the tasty treat in the freezer and enjoy it on a summer day.

Option 3:  You are one SMART COOKIE!

Bake up a batch of your favorite cookies, and bag them up individually with a tag.  Who wouldn't love a cookie for an afternoon snack on a summer day?

Option 4:  O-fish-ally headed to grade 3!

Just staple a tag to a bag of goldfish.  Quick, easy, and great for a school that prefers pre-packaged snacks.

I love the idea of my boys sharing special treats with their friends.  Do your little ones bring class treats on the last day of school?

End of Year Presents

I have always thought it was important for my boys to give little presents to their classmates and teachers at the end of a school year.  I think it helps them learn that it "feels good" to give.  Here is what we did this year:

1)  My three year old made some adorable "Have a Ball This Summer" treats for his preschool class.  I printed some labels, bought some balls from the dollar store, and voila... a super cute gift for his little friends!

2)  For his Preschool teachers, my three year old added a special touch to his gift by making super cute personalized tote bags. He drew the pictures and printed the names with a sharpie, and I stitched over it in black embroidery thread. He was super proud of his creations!

My five year old made one for his teacher too.

3)  My five year loves to bake, so for his Grade Primary class, we made some cookies for the "Smart Cookies" that just completed their first year of "big school".  We packaged them up individually with a cute little label... have a look at how they turned out.

Are these sweet little treats for kids to share with the friends and teachers on the last day of school? Which one is your favourite?
