Carnival Signage

Recently, I shared my boys' easy and inexpensive DIY Carnival Party, and I've had a lot of positive feedback about the party. Everyone loves the little DIY details, and many readers have been asking me about the signs I used. So, today I am sharing all the carnival signage I designed FOR FREE!

Below, please find a blank version of my carnival sign (in case you want to add your own games), and several of my other signs, which are available to download for free. I would love to have you download and print any of these signs for your personal use, but please don't use them for commercial purposes, and don't post or reprint them without permission from me. Circus Crafts... with printable templates

I love a good "theme", and a circus theme is one of my favorites. Recently, I had a fantastic time making some circus crafts and playing dress up with a group of children. Today I am sharing the tutorials and printable templates.

One of my favorite circus crafts is this clown puppet that I designed. Just print the template (you can find here) onto cardstock, color the clown, cut it out, add some googly eyes and a button nose (with glue), and tape a craft stick to the back. Isn't it adorable?

I also designed an adorable elephant puppet. Just print the template (that you can find here) onto cardstock, cut it out (including a hole for the nose), glue on some googly eyes, and tape a craft stick to the backs. The ability for the child to use his or her finger as a trunk makes this circus craft extra special!

It's also easy to transform little ones into clowns with simple paper plate clown collars. All you need to do is: cut the centre out of a paper plate, color it, and cut a slit in the back. I love how easy and inexpensive this craft is, and I guarantee your little ones will love it too!

These circus crafts are perfect for an afternoon of crafting, but they would be wonderful activities for a circus party too! I hope you and your little ones enjoy making these fun circus crafts as much as we did.

DIY Circus Party... with easy and inexpensive DIY details

A couple of weeks ago my son turned six, and he requested a Circus party... and I love a good DIY birthday party! Today I am sharing all the easy and inexpensive DIY details that made the party special.

We had 20 kids, and a ton of fun.  My birthday boy started the day with a special pancake breakfast, and then it was on to the party.

The Cake is one of my favorite parts of any birthday party.  The one I made was super easy -- using straws, a paper carousal top, and some animal cracker cookies.  I also made some fun, colorful "balloon" cupcakes.

And... what is Circus/Carnival party without a table of treats.  Check out the Concessions Table we had.  Not surprisingly, it was a big hit with the kids!  {I probably should have put tooth brushes in their loot bags.}

Of course... we had a few Party Favors -- Clown Noses and Ring Master Mustaches {cut from black paper and taped onto popsicle sticks}.

And... finally, we had the Midway.  You can find a full list of the games here, but I have included a few highlights below.

I think that paying attention to the details is more important than spending a lot of money.  Every aspect of this party is something that truly is DIY.  I hope it inspires you to throw a circus party for your little clown.  :-)

DIY Circus Party {Midway Games}

When I sat down to write a post about my oldest son's sixth birthday party, I realized I had way too many pictures to fit into one post.  So {instead of overwhelming you}, I decided to list all the Circus/Carnival Games in a separate post.  The games were simple and inexpensive, and the kids had a ton of fun.  You can't ask for more than that.  :-)
