I could not be more excited about this giveaway. I get offered a lot of products to review, but I only accept items that I know I can honestly endorse, and this giveaway was a "no brainer" for me. I absolutely LOVE this cardboard house that kids can help build and decorate.
It's called "My Pretty Playhouse" from Cascades Boutique, and you can read all about it here. My boys are having a fantastic time with their playhouse. {They call it their "secret clubhouse".} I love a toy that allows little ones to be creative!!!!!!
This playhouse retails for $34.99, but I am giving you the opportunity to {WIN} one. Fun, right?
Just leave a comment below letting me know whether your kids prefer electronic toys or toys that allow them to use their imaginations. {Don't forget your email address so that I can contact you if you win.}
Good luck!
♥
Gina (aka East Coast Mommy)

probably 50/50, he loves his DS but in a store full of toys he easily picks construction paper or googly eyes over a fancy toy.

DeleteSO exciting! I heard about this and it sounded so cool! and it looks fun too! I run a daycare, and all the kids love to use their imagination and be creative. Electronics don't stimulate the mind, and keep you interested and help your problem solving. Using your imagination is the way to go!
ReplyDeletebrigette.forrestall@hotmail.com
I would say electronic but this playhouse just may change that ;)

Toys that require Anna to use her imagination seem to keep her attention much longer than electronic toys. This seems to be the age of pretend play!
ReplyDeletebronwen4@hotmail.com
My boys are all about using their imagination.
ReplyDeleteDD is only 18 months but I would say she is 50/50. Loves electronics but has fun with a paperbag too. She would love to play house with her babies in this!

At the moment they are into the DSes that somehow got into the house but they love imaginative play. I always get a kick out of how they'll combine superheros and peek-a-boo petites and pirates into one game on a castle :) grg1@ns.sympatico.ca
ReplyDeleteMy son loves to climb in boxes, i can only imagine how much fun he would have with this.

My son loves both. Electronics also get used in his imaginary play, a lot.
ReplyDeletejisellemahar@gmail.com
We don't really have to many electronic toys, so I guess they prefer toys where they use their imagination!
ReplyDeleteMy kids love imaginative play, we don't let them play a lot of video games and when they do they are family games. They love making stories out of felt boards and pieces and making different things up with there toys. My kids would love this cause then they could take their play even farther. Thank you for letting us have the chance to win one :)
ReplyDeleteMy son loves both, but I would say he loves using his imagination more!! He would love his own playhouse!!
ReplyDeletemichellemaclean@hotmail.com
Obviously I prefer toys that let the kids use their (wild) imaginations BUT I believe there is value in electronic toys as well. It's amazing to see my 2 year play games on our Ipod Touch.
ReplyDeleteMy 4 girls like both, however, electronic toys don't seem to keep their attention as long as when they are dreaming up imaginative play. This looks like an excellent toy! Last time we had large cardboard boxes they played forever with them (our kitties too!)
ReplyDeleteErin,

My kids are more into creative play, but I find my daughter who is 6 is influenced by her friends with Ipods and other electronics and is wanting more of that stuff now.
ReplyDeletejenniferkmacleod@hotmail.com
My daughter probably enjoys both types of activities equally.
ReplyDeleteMy son loves both electronic toys and toys that use his imagination. He can play games, like the mobigo but will also play with his cars, little people, or even use things around the house and pretend that they are something else!
ReplyDeletemaryw1981 at yahoo dot com
Mine love both kinds of toys but I can say that if something interesting like this comes along they stay off the games for awhile and I love that...
ReplyDeletesethandtjay at yahoo dot com
Looks like a really fun playhouse and I love that it is 100% recycled paper fibre!
ReplyDeleteLove it! My kids (3 & 5.5) could spend hours on the iPad or LeapPad if we let them, but they certainly giggle and "play" a lot more with non-electronics so I'd say they prefer those.
ReplyDeletesarah (dot) gardner (at) gmail (dot) com :)
Definitely, toys that spark imagination. Dress up clothes, blanket forts and balloons reign supreme
ReplyDeleteMy daughter prefers toys that allow her to use her imagination!
ReplyDeletesan_javier@hotmail.com
Both my kids prefer imaginative and learning toys, as a matter of fact my son is generally afraid of things that move by themselves and talk. lol...
ReplyDeleteWe bought toys last year, this year they asked for a tent, art supplies including googly eyes and some play sets ;) GREAT giveaway, we would have so much fun with this!

ReplyDeleteMy 6 year old is extremely creative and is always drawing pictures, coloring, and writing stories. She uses her bunkbeds and blankets to build a "special fort" and is always sad when Its time to take it down. She would be absolutely ecstatic to have a playhouse she could build and decorate for her and her sisters.
ReplyDeleteGreat contest and thank you for the chance to win :)
