{Review and Giveaway} - The Looneyspoons Collection

CONTEST CLOSED - Winner is comment #48  "My favorite cookbook is the Companies coming cookbooks , so many great ideas in the collection, Cher MacInnis"

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Janet and Greta Podleski - the authors of the bestselling cookbook The Looneyspoons Collection.  They offered to send me a copy of their book to review, and if I liked it, they would send me a copy to give you {my awesome readers} (a $34.95 value).

So... today I let the boys pick out something to make.  They chose the "Cookies for Rookies".

I put the boys to work, and the recipe was super-easy.

And, more importantly, the cookies were delicious.

Ready for a chance to win this fun book (which includes catchy titles, delicious recipes, and interesting nutrition tips)???

Comment (below) letting me know the name of your favorite cookbook.  Just leave your answer (and email address if you aren't logged in) before Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

Good luck!

Gina (aka East Coast Mommy)

  15. I Love to cook and to try new recipes. My Favorite cookbook was given to me by my friend's mother. It's called Mabou's Cookin' Kitchens, and it's a collaboration of recipes from the locals in Mabou. I use it so much that the pages are getting ratty, and when I get a new recipe I write it inside of this book.

I'd love a chance to win a new cookbook. Loving' the blog Gina...keep it up.

    Hi Gina
My favorite cookbook is crazy plates from the same author!

A recipe idea for your readers from Highlights magazine that I made last night:
    Fruit Nacho's
Place vanilla pudding in little desert bowls, place favorite chopped fruit & berries all over the pudding, stick cinnamon sugar pita chips around the side of the bowl to scoop the pudding. My kids and husband loved this kind of healthy desert!

  25. I typically look for things on allrecipes or other places on the internet because of my son's dietary needs (very-low-sodium) and I can find things that are easily tweaked in the vast universe that is "the net". That said, my next favourite is "Martha Stewart Cookies" (what can I say, I am a sucker for sweets).

  43. My favourite cookbook is one we are making together as a family. We constantly find new recipes and experiment. If we like it, it goes in our family cookbook. I also have traditional recipes from my parents and grandparents, my favourites from when I was a kid. We also like to experiment and make our own recipes for our cookbook, but not all make it in!!! When we have tried all the recipes we want to out of a cookbook, saving the ones we loved, we pass the cookbooks on to others....which reminds me, I need to clean out our stash!
